My uncle passed away suddenly, and my family had a hard time for over a year. My mother sometimes said that when she looks at sunset, her brother seems to look at her beyond that sky. The red sky resembled our gloomy and sad feeling to us.
I was inspired by my mom's saying, and I describe her feeling. I sketch it through Decalcomanie style, and it means the balance or the halfway point between life and death. I thought the sunset is also the middle point of the day. Also, I drew many things to represent life and death.
